Introduction
Have you ever looked at a series of letters and been asked to come up with as many words as possible out of the list of letters? Have you ever looked at a series of numbers and been asked to figure out what code, sequence, or combination would result from the number series? Designers try to exhaust all possible combinations or solutions to an existing problem until the most intuitive solution comes along. Brainstorming several times throughout a project is very common when designing new products.
Note to reader: I forgot to include the information of each page on these images. Here is the information:
1. Osric Nagle - Isometric Sketches of Blocks (3, 4, and 5 blocks) - 10/19/14 and 10/21/14 - period 1
2. Osric Nagle - 6 Block Combinations - 10/19/14 and 10/21/14 - period 1

Conclusion Questions
1. Why is it so important for a designer to think of multiple solutions to a design problem?
It is important for a designer to think of multiple solutions to a design problem because thinking of many different kinds of designs can bring out good ideas that would previously have remained buried inside the designer's head. It is pertinent to think of multiple solutions to a design problem because with a lot of ideas, the designers can create previously undiscovered solutions by combining multiple solutions. It is also important for a designer to think of multiple solutions to a design problem because if one solution doesn't work, then there are back-up solutions to fall back on.
2. What steps did you take to determine the exact number of possible combinations for each set of cubes?
To determine the exact number of possible combinations for each set of cubes, I physically arranged the cubes onto a flat space, and made combination after combination with them. If I had created a unique combination, I would try to move the fewest number of cubes I could to try to make another distinct combination; this way, I could cover a lot of relatively similar combinations at one time.
3. Why is it important to sketch your ideas on paper and sign and date the document?
It is important to sketch ideas on paper and then sign/date the document because if the originality of the ideas you have are challenged, you have proof with which you can back your claims off of.
